Google Chat - Why you need it

In today’s digital age, a growing number of consumers prefer to engage with businesses through chat or text platforms to gather information about products or services before visiting in person. This preference can be attributed to several reasons. Firstly, chat or text-based communication offers a convenient and efficient way to interact with businesses. Instead of making phone calls or visiting physical stores, customers can simply initiate a chat or send a text message, allowing them to multitask and receive responses at their convenience. Moreover, text-based communication provides a written record of the conversation, making it easier for customers to refer back to important details.

Additionally, chatting or texting allows individuals to avoid potential social pressures or sales tactics they might encounter during face-to-face interactions. It empowers customers to ask questions, seek clarification, and explore different options without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Furthermore, these digital channels enable businesses to provide prompt and personalized responses, delivering a higher level of customer service. Overall, the preference for chat or text-based communication with businesses reflects the evolving consumer behavior in the pursuit of convenience, flexibility, and informed decision-making.

A business should consider turning on the Google Messages feature within their Google Business profile to meet the evolving needs and preferences of modern consumers. By enabling this feature, businesses can tap into the growing trend of chat or text-based communication, allowing potential customers to inquire about products or services before visiting in person.
